Leslie Sargent
Leslie SargentOwner/Operator and Chef
Leslie has been the chef at Buckhorn Springs for twenty years, and started her culinary career at the age of twelve. She loves to create new menus that reflect the current harvest from Buckhorn and local farmers. When not in the kitchen, Leslie can be found out walking with her dogs, playing tennis or playing music.
Bruce Sargent
Bruce SargentOwner/Operator, Photographer and Buckhorn Historian
Bruce’s passion for old things found a purpose when he and Leslie stumbled upon Buckhorn in 1987. As the leading authority on Buckhorn’s history, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add these stories and photographs collected over the years. Bruce loves to build things, but with any excuse to work in the woods you’ll find him somewhere on the back forty.

Lauren Sargent Haynes
Lauren Sargent HaynesGraphic Design of Buckhorn Springs Heritage Cookbook

Her art degree and persistence launched the project toward its ultimate success. Lauren grew up on the Buckhorn property, which has provided her with a sense of vision along with a deep attachment to land and family. If you have the chance to go backpacking with Lauren you will have a hard time keeping up.
